Thisara Perera of Sri Lanka to retire from worldwide cricket; SLC hails the “ all-round good ” for his immense contribution

Colombo: The versatile Sri Lankan participant and former captain Thisara Perera introduced his retirement from worldwide cricket on Monday with quick impact.

Perera, in his letter submitted to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), mentioned he felt the time had come for him to step apart and pave the way in which for the youthful crop.

The 32-year-old, who has represented Sri Lanka in six exams, 166 ODI and 84 T20I, is anticipated to proceed to play franchise cricket around the globe.
