A prince from Liechtenstein has been accused of poaching certainly one of Europe’s largest brown bears whereas on a looking tour in Romania.

Environmental companies have accused Prince Emanuel von und zu Liechtenstein of killing the bear, a 17-year-old recognized to locals as Arthur, throughout a four-day hunt for a younger feminine bear which had induced harm to the farms, according to the Guardian.

The companies stated the 17-year-old bear was killed in a protected space within the Carpathians.

“I’m wondering how the prince may have confused a feminine bear coming to the village with the most important male that existed within the depths of the forest,” Gabriel Paun, the chairman of Agent Inexperienced, instructed the Guardian, including that he thought the prince’s objective was to “win the most important trophy”.

Romanian authorities are investigating allegations that 17-year-old bear looking was not allowed and that some folks concerned didn’t have gun licenses, CNN reported, citing its Spanish television affiliate, Antena 3.

The Associated Press reported that the prince had obtained a four-day looking license and that, on March 13, he had paid $ 8,400 (€ 7,000) to have a 17-year-old brown bear killed. It isn’t recognized if the allow was tied to a selected bear.

Brown bears are a protected species in Romania and trophy looking is prohibited, however the Minister of the Setting can grant exceptions if the bears trigger harm to property or harm residents, reported The Guardian.
