JJ Abrams Will not Direct First Black ‘Superman’ As a result of He Is ‘Deaf,’ DC Supply Tells The Hollywood Reporter

JJ Abrams will not be directing the long-awaited Black film “Superman” as a result of Warner Bros. and DC have pledged to rent a black director, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A DC supply informed the Hollywood reporter that having Abrams immediately could be “deaf.” Nevertheless, Abrams remains to be producing the movie.

It was introduced in February that author Ta-Nehisi Coates was writing the screenplay for the upcoming movie, though the screenplay does not ship till mid-December.
